About

SocialSower.com was started in 2010 by Jason & Heather Marshall of Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

History

Jason & Heather were best friends for a few years before he “popped the question” one Sunday morning in front of the church. She said yes, and they were married on June 10, 2006.  In October of 2009, their family was expanded by the addition of a beautiful baby boy, Jason Jr.

All About Jason

Jason’s career path has been a long and winding one, leaving him with a broad spectrum of experience. He taught high school math, science, and Bible for six years; coached high school and middle school sports, including baseball, golf, and wrestling; and, more recently, worked as a one-to-one aide with a student with disabilities before making the switch to working from home full time.  Jason has also been a lifeguard for 18 years (a lieutenant for 11 of them), has put on a few shows as an illusionist, is the head youth leader at his church, and is making a name for himself as a speaker (so far he’s preached at his church several times, given a message at a youth event for 2000+ teens, and spoken at a Christian Internet Marketing seminar in San Francisco, to name a few).

Jason has been involved in Internet Marketing since 2007, when he became a finalist on Joel Comm‘s reality show, “The Next Internet Millionaire.” Since then, he has worked as the Affiliate Manager for The Barefoot Executive, Carrie Wilkerson; the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Cashmap Systems; and Director of Project Management for Trekden Digerati.  Jason’s first major project of his own was a fundraiser for Petey, a boy with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. (Find out more at Petey’s site). He has also launched several ministry sites of his own, including NOfearYEAR.com, a video devotional on overcoming fear that he did with Heather.

All About Heather

Heather is the Social Media Enthusiast of the couple. She has been on the internet since she was 15 years old, in chat rooms, on AIM, and making her own website (updating it so often it may as well have been the first blog of its time).  In 2007, Heather launched her first “real” blog, TheStrivingWife.com, based on her passion to be a wife after God’s own heart. (Become a fan of The Striving Wife on facebook)  She is Jason’s biggest fan, and loves to be able to help him in his business.

Heather actually has been following Jason for quite some time, even before they were married. After college, Heather taught science for four years at the same high school Jason was  currently teaching. She then changed career paths and joined Jason as a one-to-one aide for a student with disabilities at the school where he was working.  Her favorite job though is being a wife and a mom to her two Jasons.
